Peter Waller has more than 30 years of experience designing housing, mixed-use developments, and urban plans across the San Francisco Bay Area. For Peter, architecture is always part of a larger collective effort to shape neighborhoods and cities that are resilient, affordable, and interconnected. He guides collaborative design efforts on projects at various scales, building and sustaining relationships with the communities and clients we serve. Recent projects include a new, 1100-unit mixed-income neighborhood at San Francisco’s Balboa Reservoir, the Coliseum Connections modular project at Coliseum BART, and The Village SF, a community hub for American Indians in the Mission District led by Friendship House and a coalition of local American Indian organizations.

In furthering PYATOK’s mission to embody community values in the built environment, Peter is fortunate to work with many thoughtful clients, dedicated community leaders, and talented colleagues. As we confront ever more complex urban challenges arising from social inequity, climate change, and unexpected shocks such as the COVID pandemic, these collaborations keep Peter hopeful, energized, and determined to continue to raise the bar for all our projects, making buildings and neighborhoods that are more livable, adaptable, and affordable.
