Matthew Baker, AIA
Project Architect (510) 465-7010 x144

Matthew brings over 25 years of experience in all types of housing, including single family, multifamily market-rate, TODs, and – particularly and passionately – affordable multifamily housing. Matthew’s ability to work closely with developers, contractors, and jurisdictional agencies has been key to the successful completion of affordable housing projects in San Francisco and across the Bay Area.

Matthew’s community involvement includes past leardership roles in the Bay Area volunteer chapter of Architecture for Humanity and subsequently with the Open Architecture Collaborative. Matthew has prepared schematic design packages to secure funding for a variety of nonprofits and has worked on a number of small scale buildouts of neighborhood redevelopment projects.

For Matthew, architecture’s greatest reward is the opportunity to see individuals and families move into the housing that he has helped design and construct, and to see that housing turned into homes that foster a safe and secure sense of place.
